St. Andrew's Day 2023

On November 28, students, faculty, staff, trustees, friends and families gathered in the gym on the Upper School campus for the annual celebration of our patron saint, St. Andrew. In an extra special addition to this beautiful celebration of the extraordinary members of our community, we held the installation of Head of School, Melissa Grubb. After two years of service to St. Andrew's already, we are thrilled to have officially welcomed her into this community. The service was followed by lunch held on the Nazro Green and service projects completed by students in each division.
As part of the installment, members of the community presented Mrs. Grubb with gifts as symbols of our ministry to her and a way to welcome her. The gifts were as follows:

From the Board of Trustees:
Receive this icon of St. Andrew and be among us as a person who recognizes the gifts of children and brings them forth to be shared.
From the Staff & Faculty:
Receive this St. Andrew’s tartan and be among us as a person who leads us from the front and guides us with a spirit of kinship.
From the Chaplains:
Receive this Book of Common Prayer and be among us as a person of prayer and worship who seeks to uphold the dignity of every human being.
From the Parents Association:
Receive this picture of the Century Oak and be among us as a person who helps our children to plant roots in this temporary home as they grow into their potential.
From the Scholar Pillar:
Receive these books and be among us as a person who loves learning, who thinks creatively, and who welcomes the opportunity to learn from mistakes.
From the Athlete Pillar:
Receive this Highlander pullover and be among us as a person who values teamwork, hard work, and celebration.
From the Arts Pillar:
Receive this bowl and be among us as a person filled with creativity, expression, and appreciation for truth and beauty.
From the Service Pillar:
Receive this glass fishing float and be among us a person who shares the light and does the good work of feeding those in need.
