Have you ever wanted to jump in a time machine and go back to a particular time in history to see it with your own eyes?
... Would you like to hang out with Michelangelo as he paints the Sistine Chapel?
... Stand on Omaha Beach as the Americans land on D-Day?

As part of the Ninth Grade Honors World History January-Term Project, students spent three weeks researching a historical event, person, or topic of their choice. The learning objectives for the project included working with primary sources, learning how to cite sources in Chicago style, contextualizing a historical event, identifying causation and long-term consequences.
The overall goal, however, was to give students an opportunity to be curious historians and to experience the joy of digging into history, which serves as a mirror reflecting our shared human experience.
Students presented their findings as 7-minute films which students viewed during a film fest where class watched each other's films.
