Master Keys Club's Year of Music and Outreach

The Master Keys Piano Club has enjoyed another year of art and community service!
The Master Keys Club is a service club dedicated to sharing music within St. Andrew’s as well as the broader Austin area. Leadership for the club this year includes President Matthew Sykes ’25, Publicity Chair Amy Li ’24, and Piano Festival Chair Laila Antonini ’25, with Lori Hahn serving as the club's sponsor.

Throughout the 2023-2024 academic year, the Master Keys Piano Club members have been involved in many events. They have performed at St. Andrew’s concerts, offering music both in the lobby and on stage to enhance transitions. They have also lent their talents to Chapel preludes, admission events, the Alumni Holiday Party, and Grandparents Day. A visit to the Brookdale Senior Community to perform Christmas music is always a highlight of the year, particularly as some residents fondly recalled the students' previous visits.

A highlight of the year so far was organizing the Lower/Middle School Piano Festival this winter, where club members had the chance to meet and adjudicate young pianists. The club members were delighted by the zeal and talent of the young musicians. Inspired by the Master Keys Club, Middle School student Eva L. ‘28 took the initiative to start a piano club at the Middle School. The future looks bright for these young artist-servants!
