The boys baseball program begins in middle school and continues throughout high school.
At the middle school level, the emphasis is on skill building in order to prepare our young athletes to be impact players at the high school level. Practices emphasize the fundamental skills and building baseball knowledge. At the high school level, we have a Junior Varsity and Varsity team. Both high school teams play at the recently renovated Tommy Yager Field on the Southwest Parkway Campus.
The Varsity schedule consists of 30 games including a competitive Southwest Preparatory Conference schedule, three preseason tournaments and a number of non-conference games against other private and public schools. The season culminates with a weekend long tournament to determine the conference champion. In 2010, we won the SPC Division II Championship and in 2014 we placed third in the SPC Division I Tournament.
Our coaching staff has 60+ combined years of experience coaching high school baseball in Texas. We are proud of the excellence we are building in the baseball program, which boasts alumni competing at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels and three players going on to play professionally. However, the coaches also take pride in the fact that our program is a tight-knit community where lifelong friendships are formed as evidenced by the popularity of the annual alumni game.
